Privacy Policy

Last updated July 2026

This policy explains what Jackson Burton collects when you use Semester Command Center, why, and how to get rid of it. Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a study planner, we do not sell anything, and you can delete all of it yourself at any time.

What we collect

  • Your email address — used to sign you in and to send billing notices. There are no passwords; sign-in is by emailed link.
  • Your course data — the syllabus text you paste or upload, plus the courses, deadlines, and study sessions created from it.
  • Billing records — subscription status and renewal dates. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never receive or store them.
  • Basic technical logs — including token usage per parse, for cost monitoring and debugging.

Who we share it with

Only the processors needed to operate the Service:

  • Anthropic— syllabus text you submit is sent to the Claude API to extract deadlines. Per Anthropic's commercial terms, API inputs are not used to train their models.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Resend — sending sign-in links and renewal reminders.
  • Vercel and our database provider — hosting and storage.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use your syllabus content for any purpose other than generating your plan.

The public demo

The demo parser on the home page works without an account. Text submitted there is sent to the Claude API to produce a result and is not saved to your account or associated with your identity. Do not paste sensitive personal information into it.

How long we keep it

Course data is kept until you delete it or delete your account. Deleting your account from the account page permanently removes your courses, deadlines, and study sessions. Billing records may be retained where required for tax and accounting.

Your choices

  • Delete an individual course or deadline from inside the planner at any time.
  • Delete your entire account and its data from the account page.
  • Request a copy of your data, or ask questions about this policy, by emailing jbbusiness076@gmail.com.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with our hosting providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of personal data we hold deliberately small.

Children

The Service is intended for college students and other adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will notify you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
